CanTex is a small, Victoria based, painting company with a big reputation for providing clean, prompt, friendly service, and quality workmanship. We are proud to work alongside some of Victoria's finest building contractors and tradesmen. We offer certified tradesmen specializing in fine detail and high end paint finishes. We have a meticulous eye that narrows down on the fine details that highlight a superior paint job. Jon Gretchen – Owner / Operator

Jon started painting at the young age of 14 for CanTex and has been involved in the industry for over 15 years.  Following in his fathers footsteps he was able to obtain a vast amount of knowledge, skills, and abilities relating to the painting process. While perfecting his painting skills he enrolled at Camosun College to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration to further grow the business, strengthen the reputation, and broadcast their success around town.

Dennis Gretchen – Lead Foreman

Dennis also walked down his father’s footsteps and moved the company to Victoria from Gimli, Manitoba in the late 1980s. He has been working in the painting trade for over 40 years now and has seen and done it all. Dennis brings the hard working attitude and energy that transfers through the company. Meeting deadlines and keeping the project ahead of schedule is where Dennis excels.
